While Arsenal didn’t lose any players during the international break to injury, two players were already injured at the start.

Jack Wilshere, who’s been out since Spurs, and Theo Walcott, who joined the England squad before quickly pulling out with a groin strain. We’ve finally had an (unofficial) update on their injury status, and it looks like the pair of England internationals could drag their heels a little.

Due date

Walcott’s injury came with an original length of 7-10 days. It’s been six days, and it now appears that he’ll have to spend a few more weeks on the sidelines, putting him out of action for the next three or four Premier League games.

That’s irritating, but Walcott hasn’t been in the greatest of form lately, not scoring since late January. With Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and even Gervinho looking like being in form for the run-in, with any luck we won’t miss Theo much at all.

Also, this way Podolski HAS to play. I like Podolski. Even when injured.

Worry not

The big worry was over Jack Wilshere’s injury. It went from career-ending ligament damage to month-ruining ankle inflammation to season-ending ankle inflammation.

It now appears that he’ll definitely miss the Reading game on Saturday, but will be in contention for West Brom. Good news, as the Arsenal staff were rather worried about Wilshere’s future if he picked up another bad injury.

If nothing else, he could certainly use the rest.

International round-up

It was a quiet nice for Arsenal alumni, with no involvement for England, Santi Cazorla sitting out for Spain and only Laurent Koscielny playing for France. He completed 90 minutes of a 1-0 defeat to Spain.

Aaron Ramsey was suspended for Wales, though Gervinho had a starring turn for the Ivory Coast, giving a performance described as ‘outstanding’ and more notably ‘confident’.

Wot a lot of Pansies. Toure showed us how to play every game in a season. Agree with you Craigy, Jack is 110% committed to Arsenal - and shows it every game.
Lets get Arteta up alongside Jack and really see some midfield flair.
Viva Gooners.

Stevie..... Wilshire glory hunting? come on m8, he is one of the only players who gives a *** in this arsenal side, when things get tough more often than not arsenal to in to their shell, Wilshire rolls his sleeves up and is our driving force, great energy, hard tackles, quick passing, and great attacking bursts, he is 100% arsenal and I love that guy to death.

I feel We shouldnt rush Jack back into to side . A reoccurance of that irritating injury during the last few games of the season could be diasterous ! Bide time with him and make sure hes 100%

We need Jack too much,so that we can finish on top four.

Wish we would sell Wallcott, laziest player on the team with ridiculous number of touches on the ball every match.
Long contract - cash in and buy better.

Jack is talented but he needs more discipline and our results are actually better when he doesn't play.
Coaching staff need to tell him to stop leaving big gaps for the opposition to exploit by going off glory hunting up front.
