It's been a while since Lukas Podolski's been linked away, but his inauspicious performance against Manchester United (perhaps) has led to new reports surfacing, suggesting that Turkish side Galatasaray are interested in luring him away after just one season.

They plan to offer Arsenal £12m and Podolski a 130,000K per week deal in order to recruit another big name forward after signing Didier Drogba in January.

According to Metro report Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Anzhi are all interested in the German as well, as has been speculated in the press.

The usual line about him being unsettled at Arsenal has been peddled, but as ever details are being ignored in favour of getting hits.

Podolski's been in poor form of late due to a lingering ankle injury. He's getting surgery on it in the summer, and will be a fitter and more mobile player next season. Why would Arsenal choose to offload him?

He's not fallen out with Arsene Wenger, and it's rare to see him without a smile on his face. Galatasaray may well be interested, but Arsenal likely won't be interested in doing business.

Aaron Ramsey-the great debate

I remember writing an article last year saying Arsenal should sell Aaron Ramsey, because he wasn't good enough and had no set position. I can safely say my opinion on him has been changed this season, and since the turn of the year he's been one of Arsenal's standout performers.

Playing a box-to-box role after a spell out wide has served him well, and he's provided Mikel Arteta with a more defensively-minded midfield partner than Jack Wilshere.

But he still divides opinion.

Despite outshining Wilshere regularly, there are still calls for the 20-year old to replace him every game, and after the Manchester United game, there were some incredible statements made about him. Bear in mind that he received a standing ovation on leaving the pitch, and finished the game with 89% pass completion and a number of successful tackles (including an especially satisfying one on Nani):

'Ramsey is a good player, but nothing like what we need. Happy with him=happy with fourth'

'Ramsey is a useful squad player, but wouldn't start at any other top 4 side'

'Ramsey just runs around'

'The new David Hillier'

There were a few conflicting opinions:

'If Ramsey keeps up this form he'll be part of our midfield two for a decade'

'Ramsey-future captain'

But on the whole, people still don't seem keen on him. His misplaced passes are still met with groans, and when he improves one aspect of his game another is criticised. It seems until he transforms into a Vieira/Fabregas cross people will continue to dislike him.

Me? I'm somewhere in between. I think he's an excellent player and will only get better, and could certainly start in a title-winning side (hell, if Tom Cleverley can, anyone can).

On the other hand, if Arsenal went out and bought somebody to improve on him, I wouldn't complain. That's partly because he's happy to play any role for the team, to be fair.

What do you think of Ramsey? Is he a future legend or just a decent squad player?

Is this supposed to be a joke? Anyone who rates Ramsey hasnt been watching football very long and cant imagine a title winning Arsenal. Sell him immediately. Low pace, strength and creativity. Why on gods green earth would you not sell ramsey. He's DREADFUL you ***s. Arsenal are the weakest we've been in 15 years!!! We are scraping into 5th, have zero creativity coming out of midfield and no strikers!!! Giroud wouldnt even make it into a liverpool squad!!!! Crisis ***s. Dont be complacent.

Ramsey is half decent but I dont think him and Arteta work that well together. I think Arsenal need a specialist DM and allow Arteta and Ramsey to rotate around the DM

Not a future legend but that doesn't mean he's not important. When Lauren and Wiltord played during our successful seasons, they didn't become legends but were still important.
As long as he doesn't play on the wing he will be quality. Better than Cleverley.

Great attitude and spirit - but a bit short of skill - especially the last pass. We need to give him a bit longer to develop.

I think Ramsey has started show sign that made Wenger had trust on him. Let's give him time and watch development.

Having come through a horrific injury and missing over a year as well as losing his national team coach and Mentor...Ramsey is still better than, cleverly, sigurdsson, dembele, huddlestone, mikel obi, joe allen, henderson, lucas, gibson and younger than any of them. A reasonable manager will keep a lad like him and at only 22, he still has a lot to offer and there is room for improvment. His work rate is high and is fast becoming a roy kean kind of player (roy keane with humor and not rough) I'll even play him as DM instead of Arteta, after all he wins more tackle/blocks/interc eptions than him, plays more forward passes and covers more distance. Ramsey has what it takes to be better than Sergio busquets.

Potential is enormous attitude is great he will chase the ball until the final whistle plays with his heart in his sleeve ramsay and wilshere will boss midfields about in years to come

I must say he has really improved especially in the 2nd half of the season, but that not withstanding, we still need a quality, intimidating defensive midfielder in the mould of Etiene capoue. We cannot depend on ramsey if we are a serious club that wants to win trophies. If we can get a DM like capoue, then I don't mind him playing alongside ramsey or rosciky, arteta, wilshere. But we must commend him of the hard work he has been puting up lately.

Ramsey can be our modern day Ray Parlour - a huge asset to the team by bringing something different from the rest...and that's not to underestimate his talent, he does have ability on the ball and striking at goal

Nowadays we don't give anyone time, if they don't produce in ten games people say they're rubbish

He's had a terrible injury and he's taken a long time to come back from it, but he's back and getting better and better, as his confidence grows I think he will be a an asset to our team for seasons to come...

Ramsey is this generation's Romford pele. We need a squad with more of him and less of the gervinhio's and (sorry to say it) diaby.

Great improvement and will go on to be a a great asset to the team if he continues his growth like this

Good player starting to come back to his best. Potentially a great midfielder!
