Stevan Jovetic is remaining coy on links to Arsenal and Juventus, among others, speaking to the media today.

The forward insisted he wasn’t thinking about potential moves:

“Every day the media has me moving to a new club, honestly, the only thing that concerns me at the moment is the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.

Rumours do not affect me. It was a good season for Fiorentina, and also for me personally. I am just sorry we couldn’t get into the Champions League.”

Coy

We’ve heard that line a million times- ‘I’m just concentrating on...’. Jovetic is negotiating with at least two different clubs and simply doesn’t want to openly seek a move.

There is very little chance of him staying at Fiorentina, though his agent has suggested he wants to stay in Italy, saying today:

“Stevan prefers to stay in Italy than move away”.

However, that selfsame agent was in London on Tuesday to negotiate with Arsenal, so you can’t really be sure.

Jovetic is keeping his options open-right now Arsenal are unwilling to pay the full transfer fee being demanded by Fiorentina, while Juventus are considered his preferred destination.

i count it to be a speculation, the end will justify the means.so let's leave arsene to his work,he knows better what the team needs.i'm sure of one thing,he will inject in the right player...... So,let's keep faith

He's not what we need. A wasteful dribbler.

Let's not be unrealistic....any good player is not measured with the numbers of goals he scores but he is measured according to his contribution in the team..fro instance,,how many goals Sergio AGUERO has scores this season..very few..the likes of Rooney,in those days Denis Bergkamp,Zidane..etc .but they are leaving true legends...tat amount is ideal for JOVETICK let us go fr him for he is a team player and a winner.

In Serie A 13 goals is an okay total. The leading goal scorer normally only gets around 20. This season, Cavani has 20.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't 25 million too much for a player who scored just 13 goals in Serie A?

Theres been mixed news about jovetic, one day they say he's on the verge of signing the next day he wants to stay in Italy...what the hell. It's best to wait and see what happens. Fiorentina have missed on champions league football and apparenty don't wish sell him jueventus. so it's interesting to see what will eventually be the outcome at the end

The first excuse was that Arsenal should be qualifying for champions league.
Second excuse the agent says that Jovetic does not want to leave Italy.
third excuse Arsenal do not want to pay the sum of money required to purchase a player for more than £20m.
i would not waste anymore time. Arsene, just forget this player and look for someone else.

It makes sence for a 24 year old that only really knows two countries (Well 3 I guess Since Serbia & Montenegro split) to not want to leave Italy especially when Vucinic won't leave him alone about joining Juventus. Still Juventus are even cheaper then Arsenal about paying high wages & I still think Jovetic comes to Arsenal in the end. Besides he's also said this a few months ago so who knows ""I've always had an affinity with Arsenal. It's a major club with a big tradition, one of the biggest in Europe." And Antonio Conte might even be leaving Juventus for PSG so things could get even more complex.
