It looks as if Tottenham have opened talks over a possible £10 million move for striker David Villa.

It has become a habit now, that when Arsenal are linked with a player, another club always manages to pummel our hopes of signing the player and beats us to it.

You snooze, you lose? Supposedly the purchase of a striker in not on Arsene Wenger’s To-Do list.

Confident Podolski

Lukas Podolski has recently commented on criticism made by Olivier Bierhoff, regarding Podolski’s progress in the Arsenal shirt, calling his performances ‘Unsatisfactory’.

It may not be nice for such a well renowned football figure to come out with these comments, but Podolski is poised not to let it affect him and believes that he has more to give.

In response to the German general manager’s comments, Podolski was reported saying:

‘If it seems that way to Mr. Bierhoff, then that’s his opinion. You don’t have to discuss it.

‘I do not care. I know what I have in me.

Bierhoff’s words may come as a surprise to you, seeing as though Podolski scored 16 goals during this season’s campaign and looked very promising when in front of goal.

We know of Podolski’s talent and can’t question his ability when given a chance to score.

Excited Giroud

France’s best looking Frenchman has revealed that he “Can’t wait for next season”, and hopes to improve on what was achieved last year.

“I scored 17 in all competitions and gave 10 assists which, for a first season in England, is good. I am happy with the stats.

“However, you can always do better and I know there is a lot of room for improvement. That’s why I’m already looking forward to next season.”

Giroud played an integral part in Arsenal’s season last year, scoring important goals and salvaging points in the dying minutes.

On the back of Van Persie’s exit to Man United, Giroud has dealt well with the pressure and expectation forced upon him by the Arsenal faithful.

It is difficult for a player to settle into the harsh British weather and adapt themselves to the ‘British game’, yet Giroud has done the exact opposite and found his feet very quickly.

With the recent speculation over possible moves for Jovetic, Rooney, Sanogo and others, Giroud still believes he can be the man to spearhead Arsenal to their first Premier League title in years.

David Villa is 31 now and He is always broke down Arsene would be mad to sign Him - We have Goals all over the team so we will not spend good money on Him - 5PUR2 will go for Him to try and make the claim that they are a big club who can get big named plyers - but the fact is if a real big team wanted him they would have no chance

i believe the entire actual team can offer more next season. the last 2-3 months shown us that they can.if we look at the stats of podolski and giroud looks very decent considerind that this was their first season in premier league,so i don't think that they deserves to be criticised.anyway , signing 2 or 3 top class players will be enough for us to win the league title.Falcao and James Rodriquez went to Monaco...:(
