Arsenal’s pursuit of Stevan Jovetic has been rather curtailed recently by the player’s preference to join Juventus instead of Arsenal.
However, there have been well-publicised disagreements over the fee between the two Italian clubs, and it now appears that Juventus are signing Carlos Tevez as a replacement option.
Opportunity
The Argentinian is expected to move for £8m on a 4-year deal, with Gonzalo Higuain also likely to follow him to Turin. This leaves Jovetic, who has expressed a desire to leave, without a clear destination.
Chelsea appeared to have stolen a march on other suitors, but now are more interested in Napoli’s Edinson Cavani. This leaves Arsenal as his only realistic destination, unless Juventus decide to sign every striker in existence.
So, Arsenal can match his release clause and sign him fairly free of fuss. In theory. Of course, they may wait to see how their pursuit of Wayne Rooney goes before turning to the similar Jovetic, or aren’t really as interested as we’ve been led to believe. It seems too simple to be true...
Higuain
Tevez could also be joining in lieu of Higuain, who Arsenal are pursuing as well. With the newfound financial muscle at Arsenal’s disposal, either of the two players are within reach. We’ll see.

Aw doesn't spend money? You're a media fed *** if u think that. He has been frugal in the past, sometimes too frugal, but he has also been hamstrung by the stadium debt. Before the move he spent big, on Henry, wiltord, Reyes etc, so your ascertains are total rubbish and doom mongering wishful thinking.
As for Teves for £8m? If he's going for that amount, every club in the world would be in for him!
I agree with James, no chance is Jovetic worth the £25m mooted. He is hardly prolific, unlike Higuain And Teves for that matter.
