The transfer stories regarding Arsenal keep on coming in what is promising to be an exciting summer for the Gunners.

Fabregas happy at Nou Camp

Firstly, Spanish playmaker Cesc Fabregas is back in the transfer merry-go-round today, but this time he is trying to get off. Fabregas has claimed he is happy at current club Barcelona and stated he has not ‘opened his mouth once’ regarding leaving the club.

Fabregas has gained a lot of attention from England were Manchester United and former club Arsenal have been looking at the 26-year-old Spaniard.

It would take a lot for Fabregas to leave his home town club, but a player of his quality has to play week in week out, and if he can’t get that at the Nou Camp, I’m sure many clubs would be after his signature.

Gazidis talks to the fans

In other news, a meeting between shareholders, supporters groups and Ivan Gazidis yesterday resulted in positive, but what is now very repetitive statements coming from the Emirates.

The chief executive claimed Wenger was ‘ready to spend’ but would hold out for top talent. A statement of intent from Gazidis, but one that all Arsenal fans already knew. Gazidis had much praise for Wenger and the way he has kept Arsenal in the upper heights of the Premiership for so long.

There is no doubt these statements are good for Arsenal, and it is clear the club are in a financial situation that they have never experienced, but actions speak a lot louder than words, and at the moment there hasn’t been much action.

Gazidis stated ‘we have been consistent, in that we haven’t slid backwards or gone forwards. Now we need to go forwards’.

It has not always been resources that have held Arsenal back, although it was a key issue, some bad signings have cost us over the years. This may be a reason for the caution been shown from the club, no-one wants another Gervinho.

Over to you Mr Wenger.

The amount of players we linked with is a joke ! No doubt a quality striker is a must if we are to challenge. A strong atacking midfiedet of qualitty and one or two solud defenders should see us challenge the best. Expect a strong season from Giroud im sure he will come through stronfly this season. Mr Wenger time to prove your doubters are fools ! Excited with prospects for new season.
