It seems Arsenal are being linked with almost every player going this transfer window. Many of these targets are being shunned by the media or the player themselves, while some are picking up heat, todays transfer updates are no different.

Fabregas Happy At Nou Camp

I will begin with Cesc Fabregas who remains to be linked to different clubs everyday despite stating his desire to stay at the Nou Camp.

The 26 year old Spaniard has made another statement suggesting he’s going nowhere, claiming ‘I’ve always said that I’m happy at Barca, whoever says that I’m leaving doesn’t know me and has never spoken with me’.

The recent statements from Fabregas are definitely showing signs of frustration at all the gossip and Cesc, who has always come across as an honest player, is making it clear that he will start next year at the La Liga champions.

Stoke is the place for Begovic

On the other side of the football spectrum, Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is also stating his desire to stick at the Britannia, despite the departure of long serving manager Tony Pulis.

Begovic has spoken to the press saying ‘I am happy to be here and happy to stay here’. Begovic has three years remaining on his current contract, and the 25 year old has claimed he is settled at Stoke. He also states the healthy competition from Thomas Sorensen and up and coming keeper Jack Butland is doing him good.

All this said, Stoke chairman Peter Coates has claimed they wouldn’t stop Begovic moving if one of the European elite made a move for the Bosnia and Herzegovina man, so I wouldn’t go getting that number 1 shirt yet Stoke fans.

Williams a Wanted Man

There are also twists and turns in Arsenals pursuit of Ashley Williams. The traitor-bashing central defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates for a fee of around £8 million.

It now seems new Everton boss Martinez has joined the chase, after signing the defender for Swansea in 2008. With the Swans holding out for £10 million, £8 million probably would suffice in what would be a bargain for the defender who has been consistent for the Capital One Cup winners all season.

New Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is also sniffing around for Williams who is on the Spaniards wish list. At £8 million the 28 year old Wales international would be a great signing for most clubs, it seems his departure from the Liberty stadium is likely, what is in doubt is the future destination.

Is it really too difficult to understand that football transfers are not like going to the supermarket? Transfers in and out take a long time, so enjoy the summer and ignore the media clowns' rumours and lies. When dominos start falling then the transfers are accelerated. You know, the transfers are multi-party agreements and not only depending on Arsenal's activities.

I was thinking that its better to forget about these expensive players and support AW phylosophy of recruiting unfamous players. But my worry is, it might take another year or so to snatch any title. This is dangerous 4 AW.Pse AW and management, spend much this season and at the sametime apply the profesor's phylosophy while snatching titles. The whistle of go has already ringed, what are u waiting for? We want to hear something at the end of this week
