He is a player who splits opinions. On one hand he is an extremely technically gifted footballer, on the other he is the pantomime villain. Luis Suarez may divide opinions, but one thing which is certain is that he wants to leave Liverpool.

The 26-year old Uruguayan, who publicly stated that he wants to leave Anfield, scored 30 goals in 44 games last season for Liverpool, has said that he has ‘two or three options’, with one of these clubs believed to be Arsenal.

Arsenal bid for Suarez?

Though it may seem hard to believe, Arsenal have apparently put in a £30 million bid for the striker which Liverpool have subsequently rejected.

When asked about the offer from Arsenal, Suarez replied with: ‘It's good to know that after everything that's happened, teams in England still value me as a footballer.’

This does sound as though it has some legitimacy in it.

Really?

However, in all honesty I cannot see Arsenal spending £30 million on a trouble maker, who yes is undoubtedly talented, but has many problems.

Firstly, Arsenal would surely be mad to bid on a player who still has 6 games left of his League ban, and with a nasty streak in him which will in all likelihood see him involved in another controversial case.

In addition to this, when Suarez initially stated his reasons for leaving it was because he wanted to leave England, so this thus contradicts what he said previously.

Also, while Arsenal haven’t been known as much of a physical side recently, imagine a front three of Cazorla, Suarez and Walcott. This could quite possibly be the least physically-intimidating attack in the League.

I reckon the reason that these rumours have come about is due to the length of time the Higuain deal is taking. Arsenal may be trying to show Madrid that if they don’t sell now, then they will move on to another striker.

So, I wouldn’t go holding your breath on waiting to hear Suarez coming to the Emirates.

Theres more chance of Nelson getting his eye back then Suarez joining us.we,r just playing silly games with RM and they know it.as usual Wenger is ignoring what the fans want and looking for his next cheap trick.

Quoting debut:
If you are against Suarez coming to Arsenal then you are not sincere. He is a proven goal scorer with winning mentality. Change is inevitable Suarez can turn a new leaf under Wenger.

That lump head is a racist and a cannibal and you want him at our club.FFS get real the guy is a kn0b

If we signed suarez i would actually stop supporting the club until he and the present management had left.

If suarez was to hand in a transfer request
And kick up a fuss then his £50mil tag would drop to the £35mil mark.

Suarez will blossom under wenger and most arsenal fans will turn around and accept him. the same goes for Nani. please wenger go for both and don't mind what these fans are saying.

Honestly, I cannot see Arsenal buying Suarez....it is not something that this Arsenal board would do as it is so out of character for the way the club is run.

On the other hand, Suarez hates manure(As do we all) and it would be good for us to have a player like that to wind them up. But then the manure biased refs would target him anyway.....

Honestly, IF and I mean IF Arsenal have bid for him it must either show they have money and willing to spend or are playing with Real Mad regarding Higuain.

This has livened up our transfer talking days!

£30m is a joke of a bid!! This is just Arsenal pretending they could through some money around, when the reality is you'll buy some average french players, and be calling for Wenger's head again by Jan.

RVP had a terrible attitude prior to joing Arsenal, Wenger sorted him out,he bece s great player. Suarez is a proven goal scorer in the premier league,if we were prepared to pay 35 million pounds, and ee signed him, it woulfd be a great signing, better than Higuain.
-1 #3 Matt. 2013-07-10 14:30
Nope.

And it's irrelevant if you think Wenger would bid £30m for him or not (which he already has and been laughed at); his price is £50m.

F** me! If we were willing to sell him for £30m, every top club in Europe and beyond would be trying to get him.
