Arsenal have been told by Real Madrid they must pay £22m to sign striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is free to leave the Spanish side in the summer.
Reports have suggested that Arsenal were ready to wrap up a deal around £18m, but have been told by Real that they need to pay a little more to capture the Argentinean.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Stevan Jovetic seems to have cooled recently, with suggestions that he could be set to move to Juventus instead. Juventus have been awfully evasive regarding their interest in the Montenegrin of late.

Juventus have bid €22m for Arsenal target Stevan Jovetic, hoping to convince the Montenegrin to join the Serie A side for a challenge on two fronts next season.
It’s believed his national team-mate Mirko Vucinic is attempting to convince him to join the Bianconeri.
There have been numerous reports that the forward was set to join Arsenal, but it appears it’s still anyone’s chance to capture the player.

Arsenal today confirmed the Emirates Cup line-up for this summer, a subject of some debate over the last few weeks. As rumoured, the sides visiting would be Porto, Napoli, and Galatasaray. A fairly high-profile line-up, and a controversial one.
Both Napoli and Galatasaray are known for their violent ultras, with reports of stabbings and racial abuse in the last few years. The main issue lies with Galatasaray, however.

Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Wigan has opened up a series of very interesting possibilities for the final placings of the season.
As it stands, a victory for Arsenal guarantees them at least fourth place, with an Everton victory over Chelsea giving them third.
However, if Arsenal win and Chelsea are held to a draw, we could be in for an unprecedented event.

It would have to be a very specific set of results. Right now, Chelsea are two points ahead of Arsenal, with 2 more goals scored and 1 more conceded, giving them +1 goal difference.

Barcelona face an exodus of their young players, with English teams able to offer professional terms one season earlier than they can. Arsenal are hoping to capitalise on this to sign young winger Josimar Quintero.
Confusion
Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in two players: Quintero and defender Julio Pleguezuelo Selva, but it appeared Arsenal would be signing Selva, with Quintero heading to Stamford Bridge. It now appears that the roles are reversed, with each club giving a better offer to the other player.
