After Arsenal’s audacious £40,000,001 bid was rejected by Liverpool, it is now up to the Liverpool striker to push his move away from Anfield.

The North London club’s obvious enthusiasm to sign Suarez could be enough for the number 7 to make the switch, giving him a fresh start, a clean slate where he can put his turbulent 2012 behind him and become the Premier League’s top scorer and main man at the Emirates.

Buyout

Contrary to popular belief, the £40million clause in Suarez’s contract WAS NOT an out-and-out release clause. A release clause allows the player to move swiftly and easily should the buying club meet the contractual and financial demands.

However Suarez’s clause stated that Liverpool must inform Suarez of the bid – should it pass the £40million mark – but they do not have to accept it.

The only option left for the tables to be completely turned would be for Suarez to state his intent at leaving Liverpool.

A transfer request would put the glove on the other hand, with Liverpool then left with a player who is publicly against the club - as opposed to £40million in the bank to spend on someone who does wish to represent the Reds.  Suarez himself can topple the balance of power in his own favour.

As of now, Luis Suarez WANTS to hold talks with Arsenal over a potential move.

Real Madrid

With Higuain reportedly set to complete a move to Napoli, Real Madrid now showing interest in Suarez capture too.

Arsenal will really need to step up their quest of the striker, otherwise this could end up being a very disappointing summer in the transfer market.
