Luis Suarez has refused to talk about his future whilst away on international duty in Japan with Uruguay. Despite his ‘foot injury’ that ruled him out of Liverpool’s pre season plans, he still travelled with his national teammates. Suarez has also further asked that his coach and the Uruguayan FA refuse any questions on the matter.

It is clear the Liverpool forward is still keen to push forward a move to Arsenal otherwise he would have declared his intentions to apologize to the club after Brendan Rogers latest comments.

His agent Pere Guardiola hopes to hold further talks with the Liverpool hierarchy when he returns following the international break. The £50 million asking price is unlikely to be matched by Arsenal despite Suarez efforts, although they are believed to be returning with a third offer next week.

Guardiola and Suarez both believe that Liverpool may be forced into selling. Suarez by showing that he has no intention to apologize to the club has burnt his final bridges and he believes this shows there is no way back for him.

So the saga rolls on… Liverpool are adamant that there can be no conclusion until Suarez says sorry to his team mates and his manager. But with Suarez determined to get what he wants there is still no end in sight.

Eventually there has to be a compromise between the 3 parties. Do Arsenal pay the £50 million and be done with it? Does Suarez swallow his pride and apologize for his behaviour? Does Rodgers accept that the striker has no desire to play at the club and accept £40 million?

One thing is for sure, this one is going right to the wire. And this vow of silence only emphasizes further that Suarez only wants to be at one club, and I can tell you it isn’t on Merseyside.
