Arsenal have been given some much needed good news ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League play-off first-leg against Fenerbahce, with several important first team players taking part in training after recent injuries.

Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna and Kieran Gibbs all took part in full training on Tuesday morning

Fullbacks are fit

Fullbacks Gibbs and Sagna both picked up injuries during the defeat to Aston Villa but have recovered, whilst Wilshere suffered not ill-affects from playing 90 minutes against the Midlands club.

Ramsey and Rosicky had knocks but have shaken them off to provide Arsene Wenger with a boost.

The one man missing from Saturday is Oxlade-Chamberlain and that as we all know looks a serious injury. He is awaiting another scan but it is expected he will have a serious knee injury

Others missing but Nacho returns

As we already knew Mikel Arteta and club captain Thomas Vermaelen are still out.

Nacho Monreal is back though. He hasn’t featured in pre-season but will be a useful addition to the bench.

Mr Wenger

Wenger has described Wednesday’s match as a tricky fixture but he is adamant Arsenal can get a positive result ahead of next weeks return leg.

He said:

"The difference from Saturday is that Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for a while with a knee problem,

“The pride of any football club is to win on the pitch and all the rest is less important.

“It is a tricky fixture in Turkey but we want to finish the job.”

“We try to win everywhere we go. That is the only target we have to set ourselves.

We respect Fenerbahce highly but in the history of our club we have gone everywhere, all over, and always had a desire to win and that is what we will do again.”

Expected line-up

Szczesny; Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs; Rosicky Wilshere Ramsey; Walcott Cazorla Giroud
