Following yesterdays story that Arsenal were linked with Frenchman Karim Benzema, there have today now been further developments, whilst Arsenal are also being linked with an Italian and another German.

Ancelotti to decide Benzema fate

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has publicly stated that it will be solely up to the manager, Carlo Ancelotti, as to whether or not the Frenchman Karim Benzema, who Wenger has been a fan of for so long, will be sold.

However, this could ultimately work in Arsenal’s favour, as following Madrid’s inconsistent start to the season, Ancelotti appears to be losing faith with Benzema, and may allow him to be sold to the Gunners. This seems all the more likely, as Madrid today announced their intention of planning to get Falcao from Monaco.

Arsenal to hijack Liverpool target

It has emerged recently that 21-year old Brazilian-born Italian midfielder Jorginho is in London with a view to signing for the Gunners. The Hellas Verona midfielder, who has been a target of Liverpool, is a bright young midfielder; however, the talks are still currently ongoing.

This will be good news for Fiorentina who are also eager to take the midfielder from fellow Serie A club Hellas Verona.

Gunners to add to list of Germans?

Wenger looks set to add another German star to the Arsenal squad with the addition of winger Patrick Herrmann, from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 22 year old, who has been watched by the Gunners since 2011, represented Germany at the European Under 21 Championships, and has been called into the senior squad, though owing to their extensive list of attacking talent, has yet to feature.

The Gunners will have to act fast if they want to nab their man, as Italian giants Juventus are also after the £13 million rated midfielder from Germany.
