Arsenal have received an injury boost ahead of their clash with Southampton with the news that Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey have returning to full training and could be available against the South Coast flyers.
John Cross of the Mirror revealed that Walcott could face his former club after missing six weeks following a stomach problem.
Rambo back
Ramsey missed out on Wales’ international match on Saturday and Arsene Wenger was becoming concerned beforehand that he wouldl fail to exhaustion.
However by virtually sitting out the break, it is believed he will be fully recovered in time to face the Saints at the weekend.
Others still unavailable
The return of two of Arsenal’s several young British players is a welcome boost following the news that Abou Diaby, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky and Yaya Sanogo remain out.
The Metro’s Jamie Sanderson also reports that Lukas Podolski is close to returning, he picked up a hamstring injury in August and unfortunately hasn’t played since.
Crucial period
Going into the hectic Christmas schedule the return of several key players would help Wenger juggle his team and ensure he can rotate people throughout November and December.
It would send out a major message should the Gunners stay top by the new year, rotating could play a big part in enabling that happens.
