With 31 points after 13 games this has been our strongest start to a season since the invincible season in 2003-2004, although many people are still writing us off as title contenders because we have supposedly not played the big sides yet I am still very confident that the 2013-2014 Barclays Premier League title can be ours.
This is an opinion not just held by myself but by many others as well including Mikel Arteta and Wojciech Szczesny
Arteta
“People are not talking about us but it is normal because we haven’t won the Premier League for many years so people are still reluctant to consider us title fighters but we know what we have in the dressing room,” he said.
“We know the type of desire and ambition we have at the moment and we have to keep going. We are doing great now.
Arteta has been a useful asset to the Gunners this year mainly playing in a defensive midfielder’s role and has shown his versatility and also his leadership skills.
The Arsenal no.8 has grabbed 1 goal for himself this season it being from the penalty spot and I fancy him to chip in with a few more throughout the course of the season.
Szczesny
"We're in a position that we'd like to be in for as long as possible," he said.
"But it really doesn't matter where we are now. It matters where we are in May, and if we carry on like we are now then I'm certain we'll be top in May."
The pole has got 5 clean sheets in the Premier League this season and is ever improving as a goalkeeper and is now a vital aspect of the team and certainly has had his part to play in the recent performances.
He showed his talent recently on Saturdays match against Cardiff where he pulled off a magnificent save at 1-0 after being relatively quiet for most of the game to keep us in the lead.
