Arseblog believes that Arsenal are open to offers for young Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi.
The 21-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the Gunners first team since joining in 2011 and some suggested it could open the door for Julian Draxler to come in from Schalke.
That seems unlikely on the basis that Miyaichi isn’t a first team player and surely Draxler signing wouldn’t hinge on the wingers future. The German should be signed regardless and that could still be given his latest injury news.
Something that seems certain is that many Arsenal fans are sad to see him go.
Highly rated when he first joined the club many had high hopes for Miyaichi, especially after a successful spell with Feyenoord.
However disappointing spells at Bolton and Wigan, where he suffered injuries has halted his progress and he now seems behind several other players.
The argument for him staying is based around the fact that he is only 21, which isn’t much of an age to establish yourself at a club like Arsenal. Many players have managed that but sometimes you get late starters.
Miyaichi might not be a late starter but say he is? It would be hugely disappointing to see him succeed somewhere else when the platform was set for him at the Emirates.
I personally would like to see the lad given one more loan until the end of the season and if he fails to impress then we should probably let him go this summer but you feel that the potentially is there he just needs some luck.
He might not be as talented as Carlos Vela but the Mexican is a perfect example of a player we perhaps gave up on a little too early, hopefully Miyaichi isn’t another one of those should he leave.
