With Arsenal chasing trophies on three fronts still, there is little chance for youngsters at the club to make an impression. This has meant that two of the Gunners young starlets are leaving the club on loan.
Forward Benik Afobe and defender Daniel Boateng are set to leave North London for loan periods away from the club till the end of the season.
Afobe joing Owls
After suffering a lengthy injury earlier in the season, Afobe has only just returned from the treatment table and is looking to gain some first team experience at Sheffield Wednesday.
With Wednesday in a relegation battle, they will be looking to Afobe to add some firepower to their team as they look to avoid dropping into League One.
Afobe will not be alone at Hillsborough, as Arsenal’s Argentine goalkeeper, Damien Martinez is also on loan at the club.
Boateng off to Hibs
Daniel Boateng looks set to join Scottish Premier League side Hibernian on loan till the end of the season.
The young centre back will be looking to build on his previous loan spells at Swindon and Oxford, when he joins the Scottish outfit.
There are also rumours that other young players on the fringe of the squad in need of first team football could be heading off on loan. This includes Thomas Eisfeld, Ryo Miyachi and Emmanual Frimpong.
We wish the loanees good luck!
