This weekend marks the North London which is highly anticipated by the whole of North London itself and means so much to the players.
Podolski was keen to talk about the derby and how he would like to add to his goal from last year by telling Arsenal Player the following:
“I’ve always liked derbies. When I played in Munich, or Cologne or even here in Arsenal I always liked derbies because there’s a special atmosphere and it’s a special fight.
“We want to go there, get the three points and drive back home. This is important for us. We must fight for the club, for the fans and I think this is an important game so I look forward to Sunday now.”
And he’s hoping to add to the derby goal he got at the Emirates last season.
“It’s always special when you score a goal,” he said, “but it’s more special when it’s in a special game or in a derby.
“So it was a special goal and a special moment.”
Fighting talk
It is clear to see the determination Podolski has to score another goal against Spurs as well as noting that it will be an important to win. I believe that Podolski will be key in the next run of games and with Podolski’s fight Arsenal can go long way in helping Arsenal in the title race.
Let’s just hope he can put in some good performances and show why he has been capped over a 100 times for Germany.
