Arsène Wenger has finally succumbed to offloading misfiring forward Olivier Giroud. The 27 year old has been under scrutiny this season over his under par performances against top opposition.

TICKING TIME BOMB

The actions can come as no surprise with news that the manager has dropped the Frenchman ahead of tonight’s crucial game at home to Swansea City after his shaky performances as of late.

This coincidentally comes after his controversial activities off the field resulted in him being pictured with Turkish agent Muzzi Ozcan, reportedly over talks away from Arsenal. Sources claim that his recent marital issues have led to a request to move back to France, something that has aided Wenger’s decision.

BELGIUM BACK-UP

It has been alleged that the manager has already identified key forwards that can replace Giroud, as the boss plans an overhaul of his attacking line-up in the summer.

Aston Villa’s Christian Benteke is seeking an imminent move to North London for Champions League football, despite signing a contract only last summer.

THE STATS NEVER LIE

Giroud’s position was highlighted specifically on Saturday afternoon when he managed only two shots on targets in the entire 90 minutes. This resulted in a media backlash aimed at the striker, famous fan Piers Morgan claiming that:

“Great strikers win you trophies. We don’t have one.”

AU REVOIR

Despite Olivier Giroud being Arsenal’s top goal scorer this season with 18 goals, his performances have consistently been average, especially against top opposition. With the Puma kit deal ready to be enforced and the debt from the Emirates Stadium under control, whoever is the Arsenal manager next season will have a transfer kitty to strengthen the squad.

This will most likely mean a world-class proven goal scorer who can turn up in the big games. After just two seasons, it’s ‘nananana nananana goodbye’ for Giroud.
