In Arsenal's 'Final Whistle' Jack Wilshere gave his complete view on the game last night against Manchester City and what the last few games in the 13/14 season could bring us.
City
Jack seemed extremely impressed with the Arsenal side that produced a 1-1 draw yesterday evening especially after the last couple of results for the Gunners:
"After last week we had to keep things tight defensively and then show what we can do going forward, and I think we did that"
The England international was also very impressed with Flamini since his return to the club last summer:
"He's worked really hard since he's come in and he's showing different sides to his game"
Is our race still on?
One thing that will make Arsenal fans all around glow is that the Arsenal players are still feeling they can win the league and this was voiced by Jack himself:
"If we'd have lost today it would have been tough but we didn't lose, we've got some tough games coming up like Everton away next week but we've just got to make sure we get the 3 points"
Realistically...
However I think most fans have accepted that the league race for us is most probably over, but I reckon last August a large majority of fans would have taken a place in the top 4 and a cup and that seems to be where we are heading (fingers crossed).
It would be better to get 3rd than 4th though so we do not have the qualifiers and we are already in the Champions League so could attract top players quickly without them hesitating in case we do not qualify.
Saying all of this though, this is the Premier League and especially with this season anything can change and who knows, that change could be us at the top in May.
