Reports emerged today that Arsenal are set to announce their partnership with American medical firm Senare Pharma over new vitamin supplements for the squad and staff.

Medical Move

The move comes after manager Arsène Wenger announced that there would be an inquest into the club’s medical procedures, following a series of morale hampering injuries.

The supplements, that will be an extra nutritional requirement for players to consume before and after games, is known for its rapid muscle restoration and ability to lower cholesterol.

Known as ‘Rengwer’ in European markets, they were used by most top athletes during the Olympics, including Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, to quicken recovery as there are such short intervals between events.

Illegal Ingredients

The club has been wary to announce the partnership with Senare Pharma however, due to the controversy over the ingredients of the supplements themselves.

The key element that triggers the muscle restoration is the inclusion of raccoon placenta, an organ that has been banned by numerous medically advancing countries around the world.

The recommendation over using this part came from Dr. Marijana Kovacevic, the doctor who oversaw Robin van Persie’s hamstring injury by including horse placenta in his rehabilitation.

Animalistic Ambitions

WWF UK have been campaigning against the usage of this organ, contacting the club directly over whether the supplements can be altered to fit the players needs.

It is expected that the club will now be working with Senare Pharma to make an improved product to make all parties happy.

Arsenal till’ I die

According to former vice-chairman David Dein, Arsène Wenger is delighted with the news that the club may finally be able to solve their medical crisis.

Sources close to the Frenchman have revealed that he is personally excited to see the success of the supplement, as experts say the product may be infused to prolong elixir, the biological substance that increases life-span.

The jury is out on ‘Rengwer’ and its effectiveness, but if the product lifts off, Arsenal could have a squad of champions and a manager for life.
