One would either have to value the top four as the means to financial success with Champions League insight or value the FA Cup as the only trophy the team will win. Unless one values a top four finish as a "trophy".

Everton...

Everton have been a great team this year putting every team under great threat and pressure and thus pushing for top four is understandable.

Arsenal of late have been a team struggling when under pressure and thus ambition and the will power to win the game will be key for the Gunners. The game against Everton may just be the biggest game of the season as the team are only 4points behind with a game in hand.

If Arsenal were to lose the game against Everton, Top four may just be out of Arsenal's control but a win may actually mean something more than 4th.

If Arsenal were to win, pressure mounts on Chelsea as they still have to play Liverpool at home and a result in Liverpool's favour may see Chelsea drop more points as pressure mounts on. Thus Arsenal may still finish greater than 4th.

Premier league vs FA Cup

What becomes more important? The Premier League, making top four or winning the FA Cup. For me Arsenal seem to be the team that can only focus on one matter at a time. As much as the FA Cup Semi-final is only a week away, Wenger will have to keep in mind that a result on Sunday will affect the team drastically and thus could affect the manner in which the team plays against Wigan in the FA Cup.

The top four will mean Champions League football, and thus a great financial incentive. The FA Cup will mean a trophy at last...

Key Player

With the like of Aaron Ramsey returning to the squad, depth will become key and thus could in effect help the team push for success in both tournaments. Ramsey is set to return this weekend, but one will most likely see him on the bench but thus could see him make a start in the FA Cup. Ramsey's ability and play this season has been superb and could add great value to the team come the final games of the season.

A great finish to the season?

Being the optimist I am, the FA Cup is most definitely ours as well as a top four finish. With the likes of teams left in the FA Cup, one could only place money on Arsenal to win it. Although, Arsenal fans will still feel nervy and tension as the last FA Cup final we played was a great disappointment.

A top four finish in the Premier league may just end up being better than a 4th place finish, but let's first focus on Sundays game before getting too excited about the prospect of the situation...
