After a latter half of the season collapse for Arsenal, the board are ready to hand Wenger a transfer war-chest to splash out on new signings.
Here is the latest transfer round-up for the Gunners.
Bullet Striker for the Gunners
Mirror believe Arsenal are set to compete with Italian side AC Milan over the signing of young Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun.
Arsène Wenger has identified the 19-year old as a perfect solution to the Gunners flailing attacking line after his side fired blanks against Everton at the weekend.
The move comes after it was revealed that Chelsea officials hosted the representatives of Bayern Munich forward Mario Mandzukic, with a view to signing the Croatian in the summer.
Belgian Delight
Various reports suggest Arsenal will also be wary of the interest from AS Monaco on long-term target Michy Batshuayi.
The Standard Liege forward, who has led his side to top of the Jupiler League with 18 goals this season, would be available at a reasonable price, the Belgian side reportedly expecting around £10 million for their prized asset.
Batshuayi recently claimed himself that, “There is a good philosophy at the club, where trust is given to young players. I've loved the club from childhood.
Tricolore of Talent
In the centre of the park, Wenger is prepared to have a revamp of his midfield structure, the aging Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta giving space for a new anchor.
Italian midfielder Marco Verrati has been touted by Mirror as a natural replacement for the pair, the former Pescara player helping Paris Saint-Germain rocket to the top of the table and into the Champions League quarter-finals this season.
At 21-years old, there is plenty of room for improvement and Wenger is willing to spend around over £17 million on a player who is yet to score in 50 appearances for Les Parisiens.
Speedy Signings
With the club keen to do all business early this summer, Wenger has identified an out and out winger as a key position that he would like to improve.
Juan Martin Iturbe, the Argentinian 20-year old who currently belongs to Porto, will be sold to Hellas Verona this summer as a formality from their loan deal this year.
It is expected that the Italian club will look to sell the winger for £25 million instantly, a fee that is likely to put off the Gunners.
Standard Speculation
With Olivier Giroud under fire and Yaya Sanogo yet to score after nine appearances for the Gunners, Wenger is adamant that a large sum of his reported £200 million war chest must be spent in an adequate striker.
Add to this that Theo Walcott’s future position is still in question, Arsenal will be certain to find a suitable forward who can provide the side with 25 goals a season, thus improving their title chances next year.
As for midfield signings, it is unlikely that the Gunner will pursue players with such high price tags as Verrati and Iturbe, with players such as Rosicky, Cazorla, Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain competing for limited spots within the team.
