The 24 year old has impressed near about everyone this season with a fantastic 17 goals in the 13/14 campaign.

He injured himself last week against Manchester City by rupturing his knee ligaments and unfortunately for him and his World Cup hopes it has been confirmed that he will be out for 6 months.

It seems that Southampton want to keep hold of one of their star men by tying him down to a new 5 year contract but only time will tell where he ends up next season.
