Tomorrow’s game against Hull City is important on two counts for the Gunners.  Despite Everton’s unexpected slip up against Pulis’ Palace, Arsenal will still want to win every premier league until the end of the season.  Of course Arsenal will also have one eye on the F.A. Cup final, as Hull will be their opponents then as well.

Poldi’s Point to Prove

Lukas Podolski continues to be a bit of an enigma for Arsenal fans and indeed the manager.  Since signing for the Arsenal Podolski has rarely managed to complete 90 minutes.

At times the German looks unstoppable with a rocket of a left foot.  But he is clearly wasted on the wing and would much prefer a central role.  Wenger replacing him in the cup final and allowing Sanogo to continue up front with Giroud clearly troubled Lukas.

An impressive two goals against West Ham were a sign of intent and no doubt Podolski wants to prove to his manager that he is capable of playing a leading role for Arsenal.  A player capped so many times for Germany clearly has ability but Poldi will want to shake off this ‘unreliable’ tag he seems to be burdened with.

Stars Return

Despite only playing a part in two games since his return from injury, Ramsey has been highly impressive on both occasions.  After such a long time out injured I had forgotten simply how vital Ramsey had been to our early season form.

Hopefully Rambo will play tomorrow against Hull and we might even see a bit of our other star midfielder Mesut Ozil.  Our record signing has been the subject of another long-term injury today and we could certainly see him coming of the bench tomorrow.

Steady Hull

Hull would have been in many peoples bottom three at the end of the season.  However, a quietly impressive first season for Steve Bruce’s men.  Six points off the drop zone with two games in hand should mean that the Tiger’s will comfortably survive the drop for another season.

However, Hull’s form of late has been ok but nothing more than that.  Arsenal have a stronger team and a lot more to play for.  We should comfortably have the edge on Hull tomorrow and anything less than a win would be a poor result for the Gunners.
