Arsenal will be keen to maintain their four match unbeaten run in the league, keeping up momentum in their final day clash against the Canaries.
Also of key incentive will be keeping a clean sheet, with Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny one away from the coveted ‘Golden Glove’ for this season.
Rampant Recoveries
It feels somewhat bittersweet for Arsène Wenger to have a near fully fit squad ahead of the Sunday 3 o’clock kick-off.
With only Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott the key absentees, the potential return of Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere will give the side a boost ahead of their FA Cup final showdown against Hull next week.
Predicted 11
While Wenger will be keen to avoid key injuries before a cup final, reminiscent of 2011, he will want to keep the team morale and momentum going to maximise the team’s chances of ending their trophy drought.
In his press conference this week, he proclaimed that, “In preparing for the FA Cup final, it's important to feel that you play well in the game before.”
With that in mind, the boss is expected to put out a mix and match side including experienced heads with an eye on next weeks match.
Szczesny – Sagna – Vermaelen – Mertesacker – Monreal – Flamini – Kallstrom – Diaby – Ozil – Rosicky – Sanogo
Not over till’ it’s over
Despite Arsenal’s maximum point total for the season being a potential 79 points, Wenger is still keen to get three points against Norwich in order to show how far the club has come this season.
Wenger stated that, “If you look at the teams who are out of the top four you realise how difficult it is to be in there.”
Although his team has managed to do so, he admitted his side has lacked the offensive power of their title rivals in this campaign.
“To get close to 100 goals for Liverpool and over 100 goals for Man City is outstanding. That shows, absolutely, the quality in the top four at the moment.”
So close, yet so far
It has been a turbulent season for the Gunners, 128 days at the top of the table signaling that the Red and White Army would have a strong chance in winning the league for the first time in 10 years.
With a now traditional collapse at the end of the season, the final day comes yet again with no high hopes for the Gunners.
Laurent Koscielny’s new contract and the motivation for Wojciech Szczesny to get his reward for a fantastic season will hopefully inspire Arsenal to get three points at Carrow road, relegating their Premier League counterparts.
