Alexis Sánchez looks certain to leave Barcelona and the latest reports regarding his future suggest his next destination will be in the Premier League with Arsenal.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a stellar World Cup and was unlucky to exit in the round of 16 stage as his Chile team lost on penalties to Brazil.

His form during the tournament and excellent record in the 2013/14 campaign has seemingly earned himself various admirers across Europe.

Arsenal in driving seat

Juventus are among the clubs interested but Arsenal have the upper hand according to Spanish newspaper AS.

They believe the Catalan club are looking to make money on Sánchez quickly in order to fashion a move for Liverpool forward, and former Arsenal target, Luis Suárez.

Initially Barcelona tried to include the Chile ace in a deal with Liverpool but they now accept that isn’t possible and with the Gunners willing to pay more cash it and the Premier League an attractive proposal it seems Sánchez will switch Spain for England.

Deal close

The Metro back up these claims from AS regarding the Camp Nou club looking to raise funds by selling the Chilean.

They also reveal that Spanish newspaper Vozpopuli have reported that a deal is close to being finalized with Barcelona confident Arsenal will get close to the £26 million fee they would like.

The Old Lady make an approach

The Daily Mirror follow the line of Juventus’ interest in Sánchez and report that the Italian giants have made an approach for the World Cup star.

However, Arsenal appear confident that they can secure the signature of the Barcelona ace and bring him to the Emirates to add to their firepower ahead of a title challenge for the following season.

It seems only a matter of time before Sánchez moves to the Emirates but Gunners fans would rather it is sooner rather than later!
