The good news just keeps on coming for Arsenal fans with it confirmed by the club that England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in training.
The Gunners midfielder was predicted to make a big impact on the 2014 World Cup but unfortunately suffered a medial knee ligament injury during one of England’s World Cup warm-up games.
The Ox is back!
At the time it was optimistically predicted that he may be able to feature in the knock-out stages of the competition, had England progressed.
Unsurprisingly England didn’t but it is great to see the midfielder back in training and raring to go for the new season as pictures released by the club have showed.
Although Arsenal have made a host of exciting signings this summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain remains one of the most exciting youngster in England.
Big season ahead for youngster
At just 20-years-old he has a wealth of experience and will hopefully enjoy a successful, injury free season and flourish alongside the array of world class performers we have in our ranks.
London media reported the latest from Oxlade-Chamberlain but claimed they are unsure how Theo Walcott is progressing with his injury.
Walcott suffered knee ligament damage of his own earlier in the year and was subsequently ruled out of the World Cup.
It has been confirmed that he is continuing his own rehabilitation and won’t be travelling to the United States.
But it isn’t known when he will return to training and how his rehab is coming along and that will be the next injury update Arsenal fans are interested in.
