Arsene Wenger failed to rule out making any more signings before the transfer window shuts in a few weeks time in his press conference this morning and it seems he may target a Paris Saint-Germain player.

Arsenal were linked with Edinson Cavani recently but the player who could be moving to the Emirates is youngster Adrien Rabiot, that is according to the Parisien.

Rabiot and PSG to part ways

Parisien believe the teenager could depart Paris as he has rejected an offer of a new contract due to his lack of regular game-time under PSG manager Laurent Blanc.

And coincidentally when Wenger spoke to the media this morning he admitted his transfer dealing may not be over.

One more signing?

Daily Mirror quoted the Arsenal boss, he said:

"I'm happy with the players I've signed. Will I still do something? I don't rule it out.

"Our finances are still healthy but we want to go through to CL Group stages and then see.

"What is a big signing? For you, it's the size of the fee. For me it's the quality of the player."

A move for Rabiot would hardly be expensive but it could now happen as PSG don’t want to lose the 19-year-old on a free in 12 months time, when his contract expires.

Supremely talented

French newspaper Le Parisien therefore believe the Paris club will ditch their attempts to get the midfielder to sign a new deal and allow him to leave for a cut price fee.

It seems another talented youngster could be moving to the Emirates after all, if these reports are to be believed, and although some fans would prefer another big money signing there is no doubting Rabiot’s talent.

The France under-21 international has featured in all of France’s youth teams and is predicted to have a big future in the game – Gunners fans will now be hoping he blossoms in an Arsenal shirt and turns into a star, should he move to the club.
