It is rumoured that Greek defender Kostas Manolas has undergone a medical.

This was after Arsenal were quoted a fee of £8 million to secure his services. It now looks like Arsenal have won the race which featured Juventus.

The only sticking point on the deal may be playing time, which is because Manolas wants a guarantee that he will play regular football every week.

However, Wenger may not be able to do this as he will not break the partnership of Koscielny and Mertesacker. This would be a good deal as Manolas is a good defender and showed this at the world cup and was voted in the best 50 players. He would provide quality back up just like Vermaelen.

Another incoming transfer maybe PSG teenager Adrien Rabiot, after reports in France emerged Arsenal have been allowed to talk to the teenager.  At 19 years of age Rabiot has got plenty of potential and this is being shown in the price tag of £5.5 million.

If Arsenal win the race then they will have done well especially when you consider the likes of Chelsea, Roma and Juventus are in the race for him.

Other media outlets are reporting that Wenger himself has spoken to Rabiot in a personal plea for him to sign for the gunners.  His current deal expires in the summer of 2015. Rabiot plays central midfield and has recently just made his debut for the French U21’s.

This deal would be one the future and shows that Arsenal are trying to strengthen the amount of youngsters that are progressing to the first team.

These two deals would show good business once again by Arsenal which would already add to an impressive summer.
