Arsenal are on the verge of signing three players before the transfer window shuts according to various reports, as Arsene Wenger looks to add to his squad ahead of a challenge for the title.

With various injuries in the Gunners squad, the Emirates chief has been forced to go back in the transfer market to ensure his team are ready to challenge on several fronts this season.

The closest deal, according to the Metro, is the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Personal terms agreed?

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to the Emirates all summer but prior to the latest development it has just been speculation and nothing concrete.

Arsenal and PSG have been in talks for over a week to try and finalise a deal for the midfielder and a deal is finally close.

Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Rabiot has provisional agreed a contract with the Premier League club and is now set to fly to London, with his mother and agent, to firm up the terms.

The Gunners have bid £11.9 million for the midfielder and that price is said to be close to PSG’s asking price but with the transfer window close to shutting and the youngster refusing to train, PSG are under pressure to sell.

Replace one Belgium with another…

Rabiot could become an Arsenal player soon and he may be joined by Atletico Madrid defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Belgium has been linked with a move out of Spain all summer and was reportedly close to a switch to Southampton recently.

However, the Daily Express believe the Gunners are favourites  and reports claim they are on the verge of agreeing a deal for Alderweireld.

With fans keen to see another defender added to the squad, the news regarding the Atletico ace will delight supporters and they’ll hope he can replicate the form which earned him a big money move to Spain two years ago.

Cerci to move abroad… to the Emirates?

The third player that is allegedly close to a move to the Emirates is Italian Alessio Cerci, the Torino winger who excellent last season in Serie A.

The 27-year-old inspired his club into the Europa league by scoring 13 times and bagging 12 assists last year and that form has seen several clubs chase his signature this summer.

Torino have resisted lures to sell the Italian thus far but the president of the Serie A club has revealed that Cerci’s buyer will be abroad.

With Arsenal heavily linked with the forward, the Metro believe they could sign the Italy international before the transfer window closes.

With just days remaining and various deals still to be completed it should be a busy time for Wenger and co at the Emirates but if they want to make sure Arsenal are ready to challenge on various fronts, the hard work over the next few days will be worth it.
