It has come to fruition the last hour that Arsenal have had a bid for William Carvalho rejected which means that negotiations may come to an end.

This was reported by Portuguese journalist Goncal Lopes he tweeted;

“Arsenal made a late offer for William Carvalho. Too short.”

Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castle posted similar tweet:

Sporting say that they have rejected an offer from Arsenal for William Carvalho.

It also looks like Arsenal have failed with an offer to bring Marco Reus to Arsenal.

AS of Spain reported that Arsenal had a £40 million bid turned down. This would have been a massive signing that no one expected however, that seems to have gone now.

There are also reports just coming out of Germany that Arsenal have activated Jan-Klass Huntelaar’s release clause.

Junge Welt - a Berlin based daily newspaper - is reporting that Arsenal have activated Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's £12.75m release clause.
