The Gunners have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League but can finish top of the group if they beat the Turkish giants and Borussia Dortmund lose against Anderlecht.

Arsenal have been drawn against tough opposition in the last 16 in the last three years, and Wenger is determined to do what he can to top Group D as he said on the clubs official website,“We’ll go with a strong team of course, we want to win the game”.

Koscielny is going to miss the Turkish trip. The French defender sat out the 3-2 defeat at Stoke City as a precaution after playing two games in four days following an eight-week lay-off, Wenger doesn't want to risk certain players "A few players [will not travel] because there’s not a lot at stake and we have given a lot in the last two weeks," said Wenger on the clubs official website.

"We have to recover a little bit, Alexis will not travel and I don’t think I can play, for example, Koscielny. He didn’t play on Saturday and I don’t see why I should risk him for a game where’s there’s not a lot at stake. First place hypothetically, but there’s maybe a 10 per cent chance."

This match will also give a much needed opportunity for Wenger to rest Alexis ahead of the weekend fixture with Newcastle.

With the humiliation caused at the hands of Stoke a victory might as well be a good chance to lift the spirits of the team and a chance to improve the weak defense, which according to Wenger was the reason for our defeat, that and also the red card to Сhambers which shattered our hopes for a stronger comeback.

On the other side Galatasaray will look to finish on high to salvage some Turkish pride, remembering that it was Galatasaray who knocked out Italian giants Juventus out of the group to qualify for the last sixteen..

Arsenal looking to top the group and the Turks looking to salvage some pride this is going to be an exciting fixture.

Go Go Gunners, let’s get them!!!
