Arsene Wenger provided us with the latest news on the injury front.
First all the positive news is that Walcott may be available as has returned to training but this will be touch and go, Monreal also may be ready to return to action but these decisions will be made late.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may miss the game on Sunday through injury after picking up a knock. At the moment he is not training but will have a fitness test on Sunday to determine if he will be fit enough to play some part.
Ӧzil may also be close to a return after a number of weeks out. Ӧzil has been talking to Arsenal.com about the period of football he has missed. Ӧzil talks about how you miss being involved when you’re watching the game, more so when the team is playing well
“When you watch the games and think that you could have been playing, and playing well, it makes you miss it” (Arsenal.com)
This is potentially good news as Arsenal need to get bodies back and quickly especially with the squad being depleted by injuries.
This is noticeable when you look at the bench and you see a bunch of young kids.
Ӧzil will be an asset when he returns especially when you consider the pace Arsenal have got in this team now which will be beneficial to Ӧzil’s game.
