Speaking to Arsenal.com ahead of Arsenal’s home fixture against Queens Park Rangers, Arsene Wenger made it public that he’s set to welcome two of his veterans back into the team.

Tomas Rosicky and David Ospina, who sustained injuries during training, are seemingly available for selection for the Gunners’ fourth London derby of the campaign.

“David Ospina is back and Hector Bellerin has a chance, Tomas Rosicky is back.”

Arsenal’s defense is currently a disaster with their defensive anchor in Laurent Koscielny sidelined due to a calf strain and the Gunners boss expects him to be back only by Sunday, meaning that Arsenal will have to play with their makeshift defense yet again.

"Laurent Koscielny is short for Friday... maybe back on Sunday."

Speaking of his side’s chances, he told Arsenal.com that Queens Park Rangers would not make it easy for Arsenal.

"It's a London derby and we expect QPR to come and have a go at us. We have to take advantage of our Christmas schedule. Boxing Day football is something special. Only England plays and this contributes why the Premier League is so famous.”

Arsenal can be expected to enter the transfer window for a defensive midfielder as he revealed that Mikel Arteta would be on the sidelines at least until January while Aaron Ramsey would most likely feature against Southampton.

The Frenchman also divulged that Mesut Ozil, who is sidelined since the discovery of his knee injury in November, is recovering faster than expected.

“Mesut Ozil will be back at the start of January after recovering from his injury. Fitness wise, he's there."

Arsenal currently lie sixth, four points adrift of Champions League spot and will be hoping to cut West Ham United’s lead by one point since Hammers will most likely suffer humiliation at Stamford Bridge on the same day.
