Mesut Ozil has turned to Twitter to remind Arsenal kit man Vic Akers to leave his jersey out in the dressing room for him at the weekend.

"Vic, just don't forget to put my shirt back in the dressing room on Sunday!"

Ozil looks certain to make a return to football this week after sending out this tweet. The world-cup winner has been out with a knee injury for nearly three months now, an injury which required surgery.

Wenger did tell us Ozil would be in contention to start against the Potters at the Emirates this weekend stating:

“Ozil will be training for the second time today and certainly he will be available for selection on Sunday..”

The Arsenal boss then went on to speak of the impact the playmaker has on the team, as well as his commitment:

“He is an exceptional football player and gives you always continuity in the game. And he is a very creative player. You want all your best players available.”

Wenger was quick to highlight the fact that the Gunners are going to have many players back in the squad with fresh legs following their injuries. Players like Ramsey and Arteta are still due back, neither of which have played many Premier League games for the club this season:

“The advantage is that while most of the players in the Premier League have 26 games in their legs, those players coming back have just four or five.”

Arsene Wenger firmly believes these players, especially Ozil, can give Arsenal the boost they need coming into the latter stages of the season:

“If we can get them fresh and ready they could give us a new impact for the end of the season.”

Will Ozil start on Sunday? Quite possibly. Arsenal have been plagued by injuries this season and those who stayed fir, have had to work overtime on the pitch and Wenger really needs to rest some players. Sanchez has been remarkable this season for Arsenal but Wenger is desperate to rest him for a game or two. The Chilean has played an incredible amount of minutes this season already and probably deserves to put his feet up for a game.

It is definitely a nice thing to see Arsenal’s record signing coming back to the squad and giving us more depth, with a touch of world-class quality to go with it.
