Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko has stated in a recent interview that Arsenal are 'the club of my heart' according to The Mail.

Arsenal are currently in the market for some defensive generals and Moussa Sissoko seems ready to make the switch to North London.

He is remaining ever the professional however stating that he is currently working as hard as he can for Newcastle as no deal is in place:

'I remain focused on Newcastle,' he said in an interview with Telefoot. 'If something should happen, it will happen.”
He also mentioned he wishes to remain in English football and if Wenger wishes to make an approach, he would welcome it:

'England remains my priority. If (Arsenal boss) Arsene Wenger calls me? We will have a discussion man to man. Arsenal has always been the club of my heart.'

27 year old Sissoko has been talismanic for Newcastle this season playing most games for the club, earning several man of the match performances. His recent for has also attracted the attention of the French Football Federation. Sissoko has hit 27 caps for his country following on from his form.

He also noted: 'I would love to win the Euros (in 2016) with France and the Champions League too. I want to continue to go further and higher.'

Sissoko would be an ideal fit for the Gunners with his strength and speed causing many a hassle for any defence he plays against. He is also a general, usually playing in a deep midfield role. His power and pace reminds me a little of Manchester City’s Yaya Toure however I believe Sissoko has a stronger defensive work rate.
Sissoko obviously wants the switch to the Gunners however it remains to be seen whether or not Wenger makes the approach to snap up the French international.
