According to reports in Italy, Palermo star Paulo Dybala is set to hold talks over his current contract in Italy. The young Argentine striker is highly sought after with clubs such ads Arsenal and Manchester United seeming very interested.
Source TMW have reported on a claim made by Sky Italia that Dybala’s agent is going to hold talks with Palermo president, Maurizio Zamparini this Sunday, following Palermo’s game against AS Roma. The contract of Dybala runs out in June of 2016 and the club wish to extend the contract as to avail of a higher transfer fee, if he does wish to leave the club.
The young Argentine has been valued at around €40million by the club’s president but this is dependent on his contract not running out of course.
It was noted over the last few weeks that the Gunners were heavily interested in the striker. This was followed by Dybala welcoming the interest from Arsene Wenger’s side, stating it would be amazing to play for the North London side:
"Whenever people speak well of me, I'm filled with pride. I will not deny that going to Arsenal and playing in the Premier League would be amazing. However, I am aware that my reality right now is Palermo," said Dybala regarding the interest from Arsenal.”
If Arsenal do indeed want to sign Dybala, it will take a hefty bid for the deal to go through, especially is the contract negotiations are successful as there is an apparent €40million buyout clause in the Argentine’s contract. It is being rumoured that these talks in Sicily are mainly to arrange a value for the striker, if a bid comes in for him.
The interest around this striker only helps Palermo as it simply drives the price of their hot prospects through the roof.
