Thanks to his phenomenal form with Palermo this season, Arsenal are reportedly interested in bringing Paulo Dybala down to Emirates Stadium this summer to bolster their striking options for the future.
His current contract with the Italian outfit runs until summer 2016 and Italian media have already started discussing his next destination. The striker was believed to be extending his stay for three years, but fresh reports from Italy claim that contract renewal talks between the Argentine and club has fallen apart.
Maurizio Zamparini has seemingly become weary of the transfer saga as has mentioned that the striker would be plying his trade with another club next season, if he fails to sign the contract. He told CRC that it would cost around €40 million for any club to secure his services.
“This week we’ll agree a contract renewal for three years, but if he carries on playing as he has done recently, a top club will come to sign him.”
Arsenal are known to be long-term admirers of the youngster and are now touted to cash in on the situation. With Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell all but set to go through the exit door at Emirates Stadium in summer, his transfer is very much feasible.
However, Arsenal will face stiff competition from Manchester United and Liverpool for the signature of the 21-year-old striker, who has been involved in16 goals in Serie A this season.
