It was not long ago that Arsene Wenger welcomed the likes of Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott back into the starting line-ups and their supporters will likely be more delighted to see Jack Wilshere on the pitch after a lengthy layoff.

The English international was forced off the pitch after an ugly tackle from Paddy McNair of Manchester United in late November and he has since worked his way to complete fitness.

Even though he was believed to have recovered a few weeks ago, studs that his previous operation gifted made him go under the knife again.

Though Arsene Wenger has not officially announced that Jack Wilshere has fully recovered, the 23-year-old uploaded a picture to Instagram showing his training sessions off. He was apparently joined by teammate Mathieu Flamini, who is currently out with an ankle injury.

As things stand, Mathieu Flamini is nowhere close to starting games for the Emirates Stadium club as his compatriot in Francis Coquelin is at the zenith of his career while Jack Wilshere also has a mountain to climb as Santi Cazorla and the likes are giving the opponents a run for their money with exquisite football.

As the midfield duo is set for return, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is heading the other way as he is now sidelined for three weeks after limping off against Manchester United on Monday night. He has injured his hamstring again and he may miss games against West Ham United, Newcastle United, Monaco and Liverpool.

With the plethora of talent that Arsene Wenger has at his disposal, Arsenal supporters will hope that his absence does not influence their results in any manner.
