Having all but rubberstamped the transfer of Petr Cech, Arsene Wenger has now entered the transfer market to bolster other departments and the Frenchman has set his sights on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jackson Martinez to ease the pressure off the shoulders of Olivier Giroud.

It is written in the stars that the Colombian international will go through the exit door at his current club, but nothing is certain about the destination where he will be at next season, according to Luiz Henrique Pompeu. While speaking to Todo Mercado, the agent confessed that a decision regarding his future would be made soon.

"We do not know where Jackson Martinez will go. Everyone writes but nobody knows anything. Hopefully in a few days we will make a final decision. I do not know what Milan or the Spanish clubs will do. We hope to make a decision and we will do it soon.”

 Contrary to widespread claims from the media, he stated that Atletico Madrid and Milan were far from finalizing a deal for his client and asserted that the Porto striker would decide his employers for the next season very soon.

"He is not an Atletico player and with Milan there is not anything close either. Jackson can do great things in Spain, Italy or in England. There are many possibilities and we will not know where he will go until a few more days. Tomorrow, after tomorrow or during the weekend something will probably happen."

Despite his agent suggesting that any move is far from happening at the moment, a move to the Emirates Stadium is unlikely given the amount of interest that Atletico Madrid are expressing. With the departure of Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski imminent, however, a striker signing is to be anticipated.
