Arrival of Petr Cech seems to have made life difficult for David Ospina as he is now speculated to be on his way out of Emirates Stadium and the Colombian international has claimed that he may consider a £5million Everton switch this summer.

The Arsenal custodian established himself as the number one last season with back-to-back clean sheets. Despite his heroics, Arsene Wenger, having felt the need for an upgrade, cashed in on the turmoil surrounding Stamford Bridge and brought down Chelsea legend Petr Cech.

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray were rumoured to have entered the fray for his signature much earlier, but fresh reports from England suggest that a move to Goodison Park is on the cards as Roberto Martinez looks to replace long-serving American shot-stopper Tim Howard.

“Everton are a competitive team, and showed good things in the Premier League last season,” said the Colombian international. “They are a club to consider and a great possibility. Next season we’ll have an excellent keeper in Petr Cech, who is recognised and admired, and I’d be honoured to share with him, he’s a player with great experience.”

The former Nice goalkeeper denied ruling out an Arsenal exit as he admitted his interest in joining the Merseyside outfit and also heaped praise on his new teammate Petr Cech claiming that he would be honoured to share with him.

“You learn every day, and in this position we stop learning when we retire. We’ll see what happens when I return, and I’ll have a conversation with the coach, but now I’m psyched to continue with the club.”

It has become evident that Arsene Wenger is bracing himself for a partial squad overhaul, which would give him the muscle to have a crack at the Premier League title next season and David Ospina may be on the line to become the next casualty at Arsenal.
