Arsenal recorded a comfortable win over Everton in pre-season to seal the Barclays Asia cup 2015. The line-up saw a more experience team compared to that against the Singapore side.
The match also saw Petr Cech make his Arsenal debut and was impressive when needed.
Arsenal took the lead through Walcott who got played in after a wonderful ball by Santi Cazorla. The next spell in the match saw Arsenal dominate the ball but the team could not make Everton pay. Petr Cech then pulled off a wonderful save from a header off an Everton free kick although the flag was up for offside.
Cech then pulled off another save after half time although it was fairly routine as it was as a nice height. Arsenal then doubled the lead through a neat finish by Cazorla before making in 3-0 through a finish by Mesut Ӧzil.
Barkley then scored with 15 minutes to go but this was the last off the goal scoring action.
This was an impressive performance when you consider this was only the 2nd game of pre-season.
Arsenal looked sharp and tidy in their play which is a good sign as they can only get better. Arsenal now move on to the Emirates cup where they face Lyon and Wolfsburg before they play Chelsea in the Community Shield.
