Arsenal could rekindle their interest in long-term target Julian Draxler as he would be available on a cheap this summer despite intentions of Horst Heldt to retain the services of the World Cup winner, according to reports in Italy.

The midfielder got off to a flying start to his career becoming an important fixture at Schalke, but his persistent injury concern seems to catalyze his progress negatively. Arsene Wenger, however; is believed to be hopeful of reviving his career as he reportedly is preparing a £21million bid to secure his services.

The French manager stated recently that his side might make transfers in the eleventh hour and the English media presume that the 21-year-old is the one, whom he may have referred to as he could effectively boost the options on the wings.

In addition to the departure of quite a few wingers this summer, Theo Walcott will also most likely be deployed as a centre forward, signaling the need for the signing of a world-class winger and the German could perfectly fit the bill.

Julian Draxler has also been monitored by Wolfsburg, who have identified him as the replacement for Manchester City-bound Kevin de Bruyne, but the Gunners are currently believed to be in the driving seat for his signature.
