Arsenal supporters slammed manager Arsene Wenger for not bringing in an outfield player this summer, but he seems to be making amends already as the Tuttomercatoweb now claimed that he had sent scouts to watch Daniele Rugani in a youth international game featuring Italy and Slovenia.

The French manager seems determined to add the Italy youth international to his roster after seeing his initial bid of £13million turned down by Juventus this summer and he can be expected to launch an improved offer for the 21-year-old centreback.

The London side have been known to be keeping tabs on the youngster for a few seasons now as they were linked with him even when he was plying his trade in the second tier of Italian football with Empoli, where he had established himself as a rock-solid defender.

Despite being regarded highly, Massimiliano Allegri has never handed him a start this season and he could be expected to be in a wanting to move away from the Juventus Stadium in the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal look set to cash in on the situation and try to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.

Daniele Rugani maintained a rating of about 7.02 last season, having made 38 appearances, without being booked even once and can be expected to cost the Gunners £7.3million at the very least.
