Arsenal could complete the transfer of Demarai Gray on a cut-price deal next summer, despite Birmingham turning down more lucrative offers only recently, according to recent reports appearing in the British tabloids.
The English youth international has been a subject of interest from European heavyweights in Liverpool and Bayern Munich following his meteoric rise in prominence, but it was Bournemouth, who saw their £5million bid turned down by the Blues.
Birmingham want the teenager to be a part of their future plans, as it is evident from their decision to not sell him, despite being aware of the clause that had been embedded onto his contract. The buy-out clause allows potential suitors to complete a transfer for the left winger for as low as £3million and the Gunners should not be finding any difficulty in shelling that amount out.
Arsene Wenger has recently brought down top-notch teenagers such as Jeff Reine-Adelaide, besides already raising Chuba Akpom and the likes through the academy. In the event of the Birmingham teenager joining the crop of future world-class stars, Arsenal faithfuls can look out for a brilliant future for the club.
Demarai Gray already has a wealth of top-level experience under his belt, having become a regular fixture under Gary Rowett making 43 senior appearances last campaign and could be a valuable addition to the Arsenal roster.
