Arsenal may be able to complete the loan signing of Simone Zaza in the upcoming transfer window after failing to bring him down to Emirates Stadium from Juventus on deadline day this summer, according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian international completed his Juventus switch only this season moving from Sassuolo, but Massimiliano Allegri does not seem to be the biggest fan of the striker as he has been spotted on the bench more often than not. The 24-year-old, however; gave his manager a reason to think of his name before naming the starting eleven as he scored his side's only goal in the 1-1 draw with Frosinone yesterday.
With the likes of Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata well ahead of him in the pecking order, it is highly unlikely that he gets his much-deserved breakthrough. A loan move to a club, who are desperate for strikers could kickstart his career again and that is when Arsenal come in handy.
The London club now have only two senior centre-forwards at their disposal, with one of them currently being transformed from a winger and tying the Juventus striker to a loan deal at least until the end of the season could greatly help them as clubs usually play more frequently in the second half of the season.
Simone Zaza, however; cannot be deemed to be an upgrade to Olivier Giroud, but an injury to the Frenchman could signal the end of their season and Arsene Wenger can be expected to lure the player he earlier missed out on to his roster in winter.
