As the clock ticks towards the deadline it looks like Arsenal will be busy especially allowing players to leave. Gnabry and Chambers are the next two to leave after Wilshere potentially. Wenger in his press conference last week confirmed that Chambers would be allowed to leave especially considering the squad size.

Chambers

Wenger told the press last week that Chambers would be allowed to leave on loan to get games under his belt especially after the signing of Mustafi. It now looks like this will happen as Sky Sources believe he is having a medical at Middlesbrough.  A loan is the right move especially in the Premier League. It is understood that he will be played at centre back to continue his development. This will be a coup for Middlesbrough when you consider clubs like Roma and Valencia are interested.

Gnabry

This transfer came at a bit of a shock especially when you consider this will be a permanent transfer. It is understood by Sky Germany that Gnabry is set to sign for Bayern Munich before being loaned straight out to Werder Bremen. This comes after an impressive Olympics for Germany when Gnabry was top goal scorer.

A few weeks ago Wenger said he was planning to loan Gnabry out but he wanted him to sign a new contract first as only has one year left. However, it now looks like Wenger has agreed to sell the young German.

This transfer does not make sense when you consider we have just let Campbell go out on loan. Also, I would like to have seen a bit more loyalty from the young man as Arsenal have stood by him when he had his serious injury but Bayern Munich are a powerhouse in world football which makes it hard to turn down.

Arsenal have a fairly large squad so departures were always going to happen. Hopefully, Chambers plays each week and develops into a very good centre back which will benefit Arsenal in the long run. For Gnabry I will miss seeing him develop at Arsenal as I always thought he would make it but if he is to leave then I do understand.

With all these potential departures will Arsenal sign one more?
