According to reports from Calcio Mercato (Goal in English), AC Milan are planning to make a swoop for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
Jack Wilshere made an extremely surprising loan move to Bournemouth during the summer in his search for regular first team football and the midfielder has recently admitted that he could be open to a permanent exit from Arsenal at the end of the current campaign.
Wilshere has somewhat managed to revive his career at the Vitality Stadium so far but his recent admission about potentially leaving Arsenal could be construed as a bit of a threat and the Gunners could also be open to facilitating the exit of the 24-year-old if the right offer came along, especially considering the plethora of options in midfield currently available at their disposal.
Bournemouth perhaps do not possess the financial muscle to be able to sign Wilshere on a permanent deal but one can be sure that a host of teams across Europe will be jumping at the chance to sign the England international if he is made available for a transfer.
A number of clubs have already started being linked with a move for Wilshere and now according to reports from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Serie A giants AC Milan are currently looking at the possibility of securing the services of the Arsenal man.
Milan were interested in signing Wilshere this summer on loan but he evidently opted to stay put in England by joining Bournemouth instead. Nonetheless, Milan still allegedly maintain an interest in Wilshere and the Rossoneri could reignite their pursuit next summer.
A move to Milan would certainly be a very good opportunity for Wilshere and if the Italian side put up a good enough offer for Arsenal to consider, the transfer may well come into fruition.
