Speaking to Sky Sports, Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has revealed that he wants to end his career at the Emirates or at former club Lorient.

Arsenal signed Laurent Koscielny from French Ligue 1 outfit Lorient during the summer of 2010 and it would be fair to state that the defender was an unknown quantity to many fans in England.

While Koscielny had done fairly well in France prior to his arrival to Arsenal, many were skeptical as to whether the central defender would be able to thrive in the extremely physical nature of the Premier League.

However, the Frenchman quickly managed to establish himself as a key player in the Arsenal backline and six years on from his transfer to England, the 31-year-old is now considered as one of the best defenders around Europe.

There were murmurs recently that Koscielny could potentially leave the Emirates Stadium but reports from the Sun have claimed that the centre back will soon be looking to pledge his allegiance to Arsenal by signing a new deal till 2020.

Now Koscielny has gone on to speak regarding his happiness at Arsenal and has gone on to state that he plans to see out the rest of his career at North London or at former club Lorient.

Koscielny was quoted saying by Sky Sports, "I'd had one year at an average club in Ligue 1 and he took a big punt in bringing me to one of the 10 biggest clubs in Europe. I am in the French national team thanks to the boss and I will be grateful to him my entire career.

"I will finish my career in England or at my old club Lorient but I love living in London. I was 24 when I arrived in England and I had never lived in a big town, so it was a big step into the unknown for me. But my family is happy, the people are calmer than in Paris and there is more respect."

Despite being 31, Koscielny still seems to have a lot of mileage left in his legs and the defender will surely prove to be crucial in any success Arsenal enjoy in the future.
